Island Spice Mixed Spice for Baking is a blend of sweet spices, similar to the pumpkin pie spice used in the United States. Cinnamon and nutmeg are dominant flavors, along with allspice, anise, and orange peel.
This blend is used when making Jamaican Fruit Cakes, it compliments and enhances the taste of the fruits that are marinated in wine and rum that is often used in the composition of those cakes.
